LESSONS
Dena teaches private drum lessons to people of all ages and skill levels. She is an adjunct Professor at Passaic County Community College where individual lessons are available.
Dena holds a M.A. in Education and is a Certified Drum Therapist with the Drums And Disabilities (DAD) program, working with children and adults in school, community and private settings.
The DAD program helps develop retention, physical and cognitive function, coordination and self-esteem, primarily by integrating left and right brain, increasing alpha rhythms (waves) and releasing endorphins.
Similarly, Dena works with Mark Wood of WoodNDrums, www.woodndrums.com, doing African hand-drumming instructional and healing workshops.
